Thelma L. Burandt

Thelma Burandt, 98, of St. Joseph passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., in St. Joseph with Pastor Thomas Batsky officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Thelma was born July 9, 1912 in Royalton Township, MI to William & Alice (Einbecker) Krause. She worked for Imperial Printing for many years. Thelma was a member of the Ladies Aid and Ladies Bible Study at Trinity Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting and working with her hands. Thelma was a very artistic woman. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and was a kind and gentle woman to all. Thelma was survived by two sons Vincent Froberg of Elgin, IL., and Wayne (Christine) Froberg of St. Joseph, MI; daughter Janice (William) Lange of St. Joseph; stepsons Dave (Pat) Lange of Benton Harbor & Gerald (Deann) Lange of Stevensville; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother Glen Krause of Galien, MI; Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands Arthur Froberg, Edward Lange, & Harry Burandt; daughter Muriel (Froberg) Duda; three stepsons Robert Lange, Alvin Burandt & Robert Burandt ; two brothers Dick & Albert Krause.
