James Jay Price

James J. Price, 51, of Benton Harbor, passed suddenly from this life on April 13, 2010 at home. A Celebration of Life will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, April, 17,2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Officiating the service will be Rev. Wade Panse. Friends may visit on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph, and Michigan Heart Fund. Those wishing to sign the memory book may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Jimmy was born to James and Delores (Miller) Price on April 17, 1958 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He grew up and lived in the Benton Harbor area his whole life. Jimmy was an avid Chicago Bears fan and loved to watch the games. He also enjoyed spending time with his family; many nieces and nephews. He had a great sense of humor and a gentle and sweet spirit. He will be greatly missed. Jimmy is survived by his father James (Mary Ellen) Price, of Coloma, mother Delores( Ed Schrag) of St. Joseph, a sister, Claudia (Mike) Hanley, of St. Joseph, Michigan, brothers Guy (Dyanna) Price of Dowagiac, and Mark (Diana) Price of Harbert, four step-sister's Jill McRee, Cardiff, California, Janet (Tom) Collard of Westland,Michigan, Denice (Brian) Habig of Indianapolis, Indiana, Heidi Jo (Don) Halm of Ottawa, Illinois.
