Lorraine Scelfo

Lorraine Scelfo, 89 of Dowagiac died Friday, March 27, 2015 at Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 51841 Leach Road, Dowagiac with Father Kevin Covert officiating.  In-state at church 10:00 A.M. until time of mass.  Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Lorraine was born November 24, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Green) Clark.  She married her beloved husband Frank Scelfo on May 28, 1949 in Chicago.  Lorraine worked as a secretary for Crane Company for 26 years and also Marshall Fields.  She was past president of Sister Lakes AARP, Citizen of the Year, member of Home Ec Club in Sister Lakes and volunteered at Lee Memorial Hospital.  Lorraine was active in the Sacred Heart of Mary Altar Society. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Clark, and sister, Margaret E. Stein.
