Barbara K. Karstetter

Barbara K. (Secor) Karstetter, 72, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her home.  A private service has taken place.  A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Three Rivers Eagles Club Aerie #2303, 715 E. Hoffman, Three Rivers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Barbara online may do so at www.clarkch.com.   Barbara was born November 4, 1942, in Benton Harbor, MI to Van and Edna (Knapp) Secor.  She married her beloved husband Ralph on June 7, 1963 in Three Rivers.  Barbara was a member of the Three Rivers Eagles Club Aerie #2303.  She worked as a crossing guard at both Lincoln and Patrick Hamilton Elementary Schools.  Barbara liked to bowl at Silver Creek Bowling Alley and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She was an avid camper and loved being outdoors.  Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren.  She is survived by her children, Scott (Allyson) Karstetter Sr., Debra (Tim) Miller, both of Bellefontaine, OH and Kevin (Tracy) Karstetter of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Todd Whitmer, Eric Szymonski, Scott Karstetter Jr., Tiffany (Daniel) Williams, Angel Marie Kay Barker; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Adam, Christopher and Greg Huffman; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Bob Secor of Channahon, IL. and sister Betty Lanko of Crown Point, IN.  She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.  Clark Chapel & Cremation Services of Dowagiac is serving the family.
