Roger Dale Syx

Roger Dale Syx, Sr., 69, Dowagiac, MI, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at his home in Dowagiac. Roger was born on January 16th, 1945 to Edward and Goldie (Cutler) Syx in Plymouth, Indiana. Roger owned and operated Roger’s Great Plains Gas for over 20 years.  He was known to be a kind and generous man, always willing to lend a helping hand.  He leaves to mourn his memory his sons; Roger Dale (Penny) Syx Jr. and Todd (Krista) Syx of Dowagiac, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his ex-wife Kyle Syx of Dowagiac and a sister; Janet (Harvey) Short of Lake City. MI, along with a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Edward, Paul and Warren and two sisters, Dorothy Syx and Leona Britton. A memorial service will be held at the Michiana Church of Christ, 504 E. Prairie Ronde St. in Dowagiac, on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Justin Shepherd officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Roger D.
