Carolyn S. Crowder

Carolyn S. (Isbrecht) Crowder, 61, of Benton Harbor, passed away Wednesday December 17, 2008, at Lakeland Hospital in Niles. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Monday December 22, 2008 at Crystal Springs Church of God, 1465 Pipestone St. in Benton Harbor with Pastor Fred Davey officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Carolyn was born January 4, 1947 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to Elmer & Ella (Lester) Isbrecht. She graduated from Watervliet High School. On March 17, 1983, she married Barry F. Crowder, Sr. in Benton Harbor. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2005. Carolyn worked for Heath Company for over 20 years. Carolyn was a member of Crystal Springs Church of God. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends she also was an avid reader and enjoyed word find. She had a big heart, never forgetting to call or write on anyone’s birthday, anniversary, or any holiday. Carolyn will be truly missed by many. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Tiffany Crowder of Benton Harbor; one sister Evelyn Morris of Buchanan; four brothers Mike (May) Isbrecht of Watervliet, Ronald Isbrecht of Benton Harbor, Donald (Judie) Isbrecht of Sodus and Mark (Laurie) Isbrecht of Sodus; one grandson Noah Duffy; three step-children; nine step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn leaves behind her special friends at Silverbrook, Rita, Susan, Lynn, Annette, and Eva; plus many more who gave her compassion and friendship.
