Charles's Obituary
Charles “Chuck”` Clark, 62, of Benton Harbor, passed away after a lengthy battle with Cancer, on Monday, December 15, 2008 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd; St. Joseph, MI with Rev. Phillip Quardokus as celebrant. A luncheon will follow the memorial service at the funeral home. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 P.M to 1:00 P.M prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Berrien County Cancer Service or Human Society of S.W. Michigan. Charles was born on February 4, 1946 to Charles and Estelle (Piontek) Clark in Berrien Center, MI. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1964 and served his country in Korea during the Vietnam War. Charles married Ginger Kay in Dowagiac on October 16, 1971. He was a retired mechanic employed with the Michigan Department of Transportation for 31 years. Charles loved to play golf, fix cars and travel. He will be missed by his close friends and family.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Ginger; his brothers and sisters-in-laws, Angela (Ron) Sanders of Florence AZ, Glen (Nancy) White of Swanson, OH; Micky (Judy) White of Coloma, Janet (Edward) Dudley of St. Helen, MI, Carma (Paul) Whitehead of Elkhart, IN; a nephew, Bob (Sara) Jarvis of Goodrich, MI and a niece, Terri (Bret) Slocum of Clarkston, MI; an aunt, Roslyn Zick of St. Joseph and faithful companion, “Peanut”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Estelle.
