Steve M. Lachman

Steve M. Lachman, 50, of Baroda, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 05, 2008 at his home. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd; St. Joseph, MI. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1976. He was employed as a merchandiser with Kraft Foods. Steve married Gloria (Carlson) Lachman on August 22, 1986 in St. Joseph, MI. Together, they had two children, Aubree Jean and Daryl Michael Lachman. Steve was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, wine maker and a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan. Steve is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Aubree and son, Daryl all of Baroda; three brothers, Larry (Susan) Lachman of Stamford, CT; Don (Marie) Lachman of Eau Claire, MI, and Ken Lachman of St. Joseph; nieces and nephews, Mike, Jennifer L., Mark, Eric, David, Christopher, Jennifer P., and Steven; mother-in-law Sally Carlson of Benton Harbor; two sister-in-laws Sara Carlson of Benton Harbor and Nancy Peterson of Fremont MI and numerous friends he was close to. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Barbara.
