Sybil Webster

Sybil Webster, 81, formerly of St. Joseph, Michigan passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her home in Eagle, Idaho. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Gordon Barry officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Mrs. Webster was born August 13, 1926 in Waldo Arkansas to Alex & Misha (Hufstutter) Pace. She graduated from McRae High School in Mount Holly, Arkansas in 1944. Sybil was employed by the Pentagon in Washington D.C. during WWII in the Department of Military Intelligence. On June 1, 1945, she married William Jordan Webster. She resided in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph Michigan for most of her life until eight years ago when she moved to Idaho to be near her son. Sybil was always practical and enjoyed the small things in life. A simple woman, her family will always remember her life’s devotion to family, her generosity and her strength. All who knew her will share a great loss, but the memories of who she was and her contribution to our lives will live on. Mrs. Webster is survived by her son Kenneth William (Kathy) Webster of Eagle, Idaho; her daughter-in-law Anneliese (Webster) Keehn of St. Joseph; her granddaughter Kelley Daugherty of St. Joseph; her great-granddaughter Jadelyn Sybil Daugherty of St. Joseph; her sister Christine Powers of Vallejo, CA and her brother-in-law & sister-in-law Dale & Vera Lee Spoor of Lansing, MI. Sybil was preceded in death by her husband William on February 28, 1993, and her brother Wayne Pace-earlier this year.
