Harshad K. Doshi

Dr. Harshad K. Doshi, 74, of St. Joseph passed away on July 24, 2008, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Those wishing to send a condolence message online may do so in the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com Dr. Doshi was born August 19, 1933, in Jamshedpur, India to Zaverchand and Jadaulaxmi (Zatakia) Doshi. He graduated from Medical College in 1959 from Calcutta. In November of 1960 he married Bharati, and then went to London England to pursue his studies. There he completed his FRCS training to become a surgeon. He came to the United States in 1972 and started his private practice in St. Joseph as an orthopedic surgeon. He was a very loving, good natured and dedicated surgeon. He was well respected by his fellow colleagues, patients and the whole community. A very jovial and lively man, he enjoyed life and lived each and every day to the fullest extent. He had a love of music, sports, dining, singing and traveling. With his unique sense of humor he brought laughter everywhere he went. He is survived by his wife Bharati; two daughters, Sonia (Parimal) Zaveri, and Nina Doshi; and three grandchildren, Paayal, Kaajal, and Nihaal.
