Julie Anne Kiessel

Julie Anne Kiessel, 39, of Chicago, formerly of the Twin Cities Area, passed away, Monday, June 23, 2008 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Joan Oleson officiating. Friends may call beginning at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside Services & Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport, Michigan. Julie was born May 16, 1969 in Grand Rapids to David & Sandra (Johnson) Kiessel. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1988. Julie was formerly employed at the News-Palladium, Wood Personnel Services, & Williamson Employment Services. Most recently, she worked at Shannahan’s Pub in Warrenville, IL. Julie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had a great sense of humor and was always joking. She loved to play Yatzee and enjoyed oldies music trivia. Julie cherished the time she spent with her family in the Northport area, and especially the time spent with her niece Chelsey. Julie is survived by her mother & step-father Sandy & Allen Ott of Benton Harbor; her father & step-mother David & Sharon Kiessel of Suttons Bay, MI; her sisters-Amy (Ron) Camire of Villa Park, IL, Kristina Ott of Stevensville; her niece Chelsey Camire; her maternal grandmother Martha Kiessel of Traverse City, MI; and numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins.
