Marie E. Radabaugh

Marie E. Radabaugh, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Dr. John Munson officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Stevensville American Legion Post #568 Women’s Auxiliary. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Radabaugh was born June 5, 1921 in Coloma to Louis & Rosina (Woodward) DeField. She graduated from high school in Kalamazoo and attended Kalamazoo Business College. Marie was employed at Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joseph for 25 years, retiring in 1987. On February 28, 1966 she married Robert Radabaugh in Atlanta, Georgia. Together they enjoyed many years of traveling the US & abroad, cruising and fishing Lake Michigan in their boat from West Basin, and serving in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Marie was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and in her spare time enjoyed watching NAASCAR Racing. She cherished the time spent with her family and her many friends that she met from her many activities. Marie is survived by her husband Robert of 42 years; her daughter Pamela (Charles) Rhoades of Corvallis, Montana; her son Barry (Sharon) Levsay of Oak Forest, IL; step-children-Mark Radabaugh & Teresa Vales; three grandchildren-Brad Rhoades, Robin Swartz, & Chad Levsay; and three great-granchildren-Lauren, Mike, & Sara Swartz. She was preceded in death by her father Louis DeField, her mother & step-father-Rosina & Raleigh Marvin, and by two sisters-Kathleen Harbin & Isabelle Alves.
