David's Obituary

Stevensville- David Lee Masterson, 61, of Stevensville went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 21, 2008, at his home. David was born May 3, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to Elijah and Zula (Ursery) Masterson. He has been a grateful employee of Airway Oxygen in Benton Harbor for the past 7 years. David was a faithful member of First Church of God in St. Joseph. He was a devoted Christian man who lived for his family, loved sports, and was always looking for a good laugh. He was an awe-inspiring witness of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his sense of humor and tender heart. He will be greatly missed by many. Survivors include: his son, David (Bryanne) Masterson, II of St. Joseph and his daughter, Kristin (Chris) Crumley of Coloma; his three granddaughters, Seneca and Alexis Masterson and Haleigh Crumley; siblings Wayne (Dottie) Masterson of Bridgman, James (Teddy) Masterson, Bobbie (Carol) Masterson, and Patricia (Robert) Spear, all of St. Joseph; as well as numerous other dear family members, special friends, and by his church family. David was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Martha Henry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 25 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph. The Reverend Rick Blumenburg will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 on Thursday evening, January 24, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens, Hagar Shores. Memorial contributions in honor of David can be made either to First Church of God or to the Berrien County Cancer Service.
