Jack's Obituary

Jack Baker, 77, of Buchanan, died March 20, 2007 at Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph, with Rev Edith Winters of the Pullman Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service, Berrien County Youth Fair or Lakeshore High School Band. He married Sharon Lee “Teri” Dixson on June 18, 1960 in Detroit (Old Redford) MI. During Jack’s life he was the Principal of Saugatuck High School, President of Educational Services Inc., District Manager for 10 years for US Congressman Fred Upton, Business Consultant for Lawyers, an active member of the Berrien County Youth Fair Board, member of Lakeshore Lions Club, President of the Local March of Dimes and a Board member of Junior Achievement Jack is survived by his wife Sharon “Teri”; a son Dan (Susan Whiting) Baker of Seattle, WA; two grandsons Ryan and Reed; and a sister Betty Cook of Owosso, MI. He was Preceded in death by his brother Charles W. Baker
