Kathleen Renee Tinkham

Kathy Luttrell Tinkham, 52 years young, of Berrien Springs passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2006 at New Life Baptist Church, 3265 S. Cleveland Ave. in St. Joseph with Pastor Brian Rumer officiating. Burial will follow in Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Visitation will be held on Monday, between 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1971 and later in life worked as an inspector at Atlantic Automotive. She was married to Roger Tinkham, whom preceded her in death in 1994. Kathy enjoyed cooking and helping in the church kitchen. She collected penguins, enjoyed camping, motorcycles and also held first place titles in pool tournaments. Her true love would be her close knit family with whom she enjoyed spending time with and sharing fun and laughter. Kathy is survived by her parents – Bennie and Bea Luttrell Sr., of Berrien Springs; Five brothers – Bennie David Luttrell Jr., of Statesville, North Carolina; Joseph “Joe” Michael Luttrell of St. Joseph, MI; Gary Don Luttrell of Inverness, Florida; Jerry Dale Luttrell of Inverness, Florida; and James Oliver (Dot) Luttrell of Buchanan MI. and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandparents, William O. and Ivia M. Burns, and James W. and Avie Luttrell.
