Linda Patricia Schrubba

Linda Patricia Schrubba, 45, of St. Joseph, passed away unexpectedly from a sudden illness on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, July 24, 2006, with Rev. Wade Panse officiating at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan in honor of the family dog Wrigley, or Northwestern Memorial Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic. She was one of four children born to David and Patricia (Beardsley) Fister. Linda graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1979 and then attended Lake Michigan College. On November 21, 1981, Linda married Randy Schrubba at the First United Methodist Church, St. Joseph. Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Shopping for jewelry, dancing, and spending time at the beach were her favorites. Linda took pride in her perfectly manicured nails and especially loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Linda loved people and never met a stranger. Linda is survived by Randy, her husband of 25 years; her mother Patricia Fister, mother in law Janet Schrubba; sisters – Beverly (David) Gould of Benton Harbor, Pamela (Gerald) Anton of Niles; brother Peter (Wendy) Fister of St. Joseph; brothers in law – Jeff Schrubba, Rusty (Jacque) Schrubba, Greg Schrubba, and Andy (Jackie) Schrubba; sister in law Jill Bond; nieces and nephews – Amy, Bobby, and Patty Anton, Kadey and Corey Fister, Erin and Ali Schrubba, Greg and Alison Schrubba, Whitney and Lanie Schrubba, and Brooke (Casey) Spaulding and Brandon (Jodi) Bond. She was preceded in death by her father David Fister and father in law Gus Schrubba.
