On November 9, 1940, she married Thomas F. Boyle in Chicago. Kay worked as a secretary in various offices in the Chicago area. She attended the West Pullman Church of God in Chicago until she moved to Benton Harbor following the death of her husband Thomas on March 4, 1981. Kay attended the First Church of God in St. Joseph upon moving to the area, and for the last several years attended Crystal Springs Church of God. Kay was one of God’s special angels. Though physically impaired by increasingly poor health, she had the gift of reaching out to others in need. Countless people over the years have been touched by her phone and card ministry. She usually had just the right words to encourage people who were hurting. Her love for the Lord was apparent by the way she lived her life. It was fitting that she spent her last hour of life at church with her beloved church family. Her legacy will live on through those who were blessed to have known her. Mrs. Boyle is survived by her son David (Sandy) Boyle of Benton Harbor; two grandsons-Michael (Makiko) Boyle of Tokyo, Japan, Terry (Silvana) Boyle of Stevensville; her sister Ruth Ruis of Monrovia, CA; many nieces & nephews; a life time dear friend Mary Thillman of the Chicago area and a close friend Mona LaShure of Benton Harbor. In addition to ther husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Nancy Boyle, and a grandson Christopher Boyle in 1978.
