Charlotte's Obituary
Charlotte Lee Haughey, 73, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph. The Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to either the Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan or to a charity of the donor?s choice. Charlotte was the seventh daughter born to Chester & Mary Ruth (French) Fleisher on October 10, 1931 in Niles, Michigan. She was a 1950 graduate of Berrien Springs High School. On May 26, 1955 she married Allen Haughey and lived for many years in Berrien Springs. Recently they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. To this union were born two sons, Greg and Chris. She was employed for many years at F.P. Rosback as a purchasing agent and retired in 1998. Charlotte loved wildlife and was an active sponsor in both Wildlife Refuge and the National Wildlife Society. She loved her family very much particularly her two grandchildren Aidan Gregory and Alison Colleen. Charlotte was also an avid reader.
In addition to her husband Allen, Charlotte is survived by her sons, Greg (Cheryl) Haughey of Frisco, TX and Chris (Laureen) Haughey of Los Alamitos, CA; two grand children, Aidan Gregory & Alison Colleen; 5 sisters, Mabel L. Sexton of Jackson, MI, Lila Davis of Sun City, AZ, Dorothy Maluk of St. Joseph, Doris Conklin of St. Joseph, and Lois Books of Sun City, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Winefred Eppic.
