Lyle's Obituary

Lyle L. Kling, 84, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 18, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware, Benton Harbor, at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Bill Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, February 17, 2005, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Lyle was born to Ernest and Grace (Ruthkowski) Kling on June 26, 1920 in Benton Harbor. He married Katherine Sila on July 5, 1941, in Benton Harbor and she preceded him in death on January 8, 1997. Lyle was a tool & die maker and owned Kling?s Machine Company in Benton Harbor. Lyle was an avid fisherman. Lyle is survived by his children- Steven (Mary) Kling of Benton Harbor, James (Shawn) Kling of Columbia, Tenn., and Mary Jane Ferris of St. Joseph; grandchildren- Robert (Marcia) Kling, Trina Kling, Kimberly Kling, Jennifer (Tab) Loveless, Michelle (Kip) George, Tisha (Mark) Benton, Michael (Katrina) Ferris, Brett Kling, and Nicole Ferris. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine; and son, Robert Kling in 1960;
