Elna W. Clark

Elna W. Clark, 89, of Bridgman, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, March 03, 2005, at Jordan?s Nursing Home in Bridgman where she resided for twelve years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service. She was married to Wesley V. Clark. She lived in St. Joseph most of her life until her husband?s employer, Remington Rand, moved them to Tondawanda, New York. She was there for fifteen years, before moving back to St. Joseph to be near her family, after the death of her husband. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she loved life to the fullest. She loved golfing, bowling, gardening and needle-work. Survivors include daughter in law Barbara Clark of Benton Harbor; grandchildren ? Debbie (Timm) Culby of Benton Harbor, David (Debbie) Clark of St. Joseph, Denise Eidam of St. Joseph, Deanne Lowery of Stevensville, Donna (Michael) Vishoot of Round Lake, Ill; 9 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers ? John (Jean) Wenzlaff of Stevensville; Leo Wenzlaff of Benton Harbor; sister- Frances (Dwane) Daisy of Keeler; loving friend of many years- Gertie Childs; and the many nurses and aids who lovingly watched over her through the years at Jordans. Elna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wesley Clark in March 1975; son Jay R. Clark on April 27, 2003; sister Gertrude Gustino and brother Richard Wenzlaff.
