Barbara E. Dill, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005 at The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in South Bend, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, 266 Chippewa, Benton Harbor, with Rev. John Hosler officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Napier Parkview Baptist Church Missions or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Dill was born May 12, 1930 in Kalamazoo to J. Henry & Minnie (Zwiers) Buchanan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1948. On October 9, 1948, she married Richard E. Dill in Benton Harbor. She gave her life to her Lord Jesus Christ at a church revival in 1951. She was a member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church where she served as the church librarian for 25 years, was a Sunday school teacher, was past president of Women?s Missionary Fellowship, served as White Cross Chairman & Kitchen Chairman, and was a Pioneer Girls Leader. Barbara attended Lake Michigan College. She was employed by Dr. Gary Sisson in St. Joseph; at Baker Book House in the Orchards Mall; and most recently as a government documents clerk at the Benton Harbor Public Library. Barbara enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and genealogy; but her family was the focal point of her life. Mrs. Dill is survived by her husband Richard; three daughters-Jeanne (Norbert) Stubel of South Bend, IN, Lois (Virgil) Reeves of Philadelphia, PA, Beverly (Rodger) Wesner of South Bend, IN; her son Richard L. (Marilyn) Dill of Jacksonville, FL; her son-in law Mark (Dee) Krueger of Guinea, West Africa; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three sisters-Mary Warfield of Winter Haven, FL, Norma Divanni of St. Joseph, & Pat Wilson of Winter Haven, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Annette Krueger in 1993.
