Sean Michael McCalla

Sean Michael McCalla, 35, of St. Joseph passed away Monday, July 12, 2004. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Dr. Gary Cowall officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation or the Humane Society of SW Michigan. He graduated in 1988 from Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. On September 13, 2003 he married his best friend of eleven years, the former Kristina Lee in St. Joseph. He was a wonderful and loving husband. Sean was employed by Apex Digital of Plymouth, Indiana. Sean had a great love of the outdoors. He was an avid boater, hunter & fisherman. Sean was a skilled craftsman, and enjoyed building & remodeling around the house. He was an excellent chef who enjoyed preparing his many recipes and entertaining guests. Sean is survived by his loving wife Kristina; his mother Sharon McCalla of Naperville, IL; his sister Kelli (Joe) McLean of Bloomington, IL; Mother in Law & Father in Law Shirley & Dennis Lee of Stevensville; Nieces & Nephews Brittany McLean, Rachel & Matthew Lee; brother-in-laws Dennis Lee, Jr. of Walled Lake, MI; Eric (Jill) Lee of Phoenix, AZ; Uncles Perry (Carol) McCalla of Coloma, Tim McCalla of Tomahawk, WI; Robert (Marcia) Graham of St. Joseph; and many cousins. Sean was preceded in death by many loved family members and his canine companion Tobi. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
