John Shipkosky

Johnny Shipkosky, 14, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave. St. Joseph with Rev. Chris Spitters & Rev. Robert Confer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial may be made to First Church of God Youth Group. He was an eighth grade student at Upton Middle School in St. Joseph. Johnny was a member of the First Church of God where he was an active participant of the youth group. He volunteered at the Curious Kid?s Museum in St. Joseph. Johnny was a fun loving young man that enjoyed baseball, skateboarding, cooking, music, and video games. He will be sadly missed by his family & friends. Johnny is survived by his parents John & Dot Shipkosky of St. Joseph; his brother-Daniel Hadley of St. Joseph; grandparents-Stanley Shipkosky of St. Joseph, Viola Hollaway of West Monroe, LA; Robert & Randa Zielke of Scotts Hill TN, Patrice Nelson of Benton Harbor; and two special friends-David Mangold & Daniel Combs.
