Florence's Obituary
Florence LaRatta, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. Bill Jacobs officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 3-4 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Mrs. LaRatta was born July 22, 1920 in Chicago to Samuel & Blanche (Pastori) Postelli. She was a member of St. John-St. Bernard Parish.
Florence is survived by her son John (Debbie) LaRatta of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-Rose Abraham of Chicago; Sarah (Joe) Malone of Arizona; and a brother George (Cheryl) Postelli of Coloma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fausto LaRatta; her daughter Arlene LaRatta; and two sisters-Mary Hipskind & Millie Wade-Mayers.
