Marguerite A. Nitz, 81, of Coloma, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Died March 26, 2002 at Orchard Grove Extended Care Centre. Visitation will be held from 3:00 ? 5:00 and 7:00- 9:00 Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph. A Celebration of life service will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday at the funeral Home with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Steinke. Memorials may be made to Hospice At home of South Haven or Salem Lutheran Church of Coloma where she was a member. Marguerite was born in Derby Michigan to Edson & Freda (Kamradt) LaMunion on October 20, 1920. On September 5, 1942 she married William Nitz at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. During her life she enjoyed sewing, bowling, golf and life. Survivors include her husband William, Two daughters Judith L. Nitz of Coloma, Paulette C. ?Pixie? Nitz of Coloma, a son William J. (Bonnie) Nitz of St. Joseph, five grandchildren – Melissa Jo Nitz, William C. Nitz, LaSondra J. ?Lacie? Nitz, Megan L. Nitz, Robin Battisti; three great grandchildren – Zachary Tyler Nitz, Keegan Battisti, Ashley Battisti; a brother James (Mary Alice) LaMunion of Stevensville, two sisters – Edna Berluti of Middletown, RI, and Dorothy Miller of St. Joseph as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Franklin LaMunion
