David Lee Halstead

David’s life began on September 7, 1949 in Freeport, IL, the son of Robert and Marguerite Halstead. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Master’s Degree in education. He taught at Ottawa Township Schools for many years. He is survived by a sister Roberta Last of Herford, TX, brother Doug Halstead of Freeport, IL, brother in law Larry Rockey of Freeport, IL, two nephews Steven and Matthew, three nieces Barbie, Debbie and Nancy, two great nephews Ryan and Gavin and two great nieces Madeline and Macy. David passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. No public services are scheduled.
