Eliza E Huston

Eliza’s life began on June 3, 1913 in Lewis County, Kentucky, the daughter of Cary Lee and Charlottie (Moreford) Craig. She was united in marriage to Paul H. Huston on November 4, 1933 in South Bend. Eliza was employed by Cassco Manufacturing running the cafeteria, and she also worked for Rudy Manufacturing and Nylon Extruders. She was a member of the Pokagon United Methodist Church. Her loving family includes her children Thomas (Janice) Huston of New Buffalo and Peggy ( Gene) Stemm of Saint Joseph, grandchildren Mark (Melissa) Stemm of Dublin, OH, Sandra (Kevin) Brueck of Stevensville, Darren (Joy) Stemm of Saint Joseph, Michael (Dee) Huston of LaPorte, IN, Pamela (Joe) Moore of Dowagiac, Chris (Judy) Huston of New Buffalo, Jim ( Tina) Huston of Lawton and Karen (Doug ) Rudecki of Three Oaks, 21 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Eliza passed away on Friday September 16, 2011 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in Saint Joseph. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1978 and her sister Mary Thelma Huston. Her family will gather with friends on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. led by Pastor John Kasper of the Dowagiac First United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
