Louis's Obituary
Louis was born on January 15, 1931 in Dowagiac, MI, to the late Dean and Beulah (Swisher) Corwin. He married his wife Nancy Barnes on September 20, 1951 in Watervliet, MI. Louis retired from MDOT, Dowagiac Maintenance Garage in 1988. He was a member of the NRA. Louis enjoyed welding, restoring old tractors, hunting and fishing. Survivors including his wife Nancy Corwin, children Bruce (Sandy) Corwin of Decatur, Dean (Dolly) Corwin, Judy (James) Sweet, Dale Corwin, Scott (Melissa) Corwin, and a brother Edward Corwin, all of Dowagiac, 14 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Louis passed away on Thursday May 12, 2011 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph. He is preceded in death by a son Gary Corwin and a daughter in law Linda Corwin. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Hamilton Cemetery on Saturday May 14th at 10 a.m. Yazel & Clark Chapel is serving the family.
