Lois Marie Doberstein

Lois' life began on May 13, 1944 in Morley, Missouri, the daughter of Cubie and Thelma L. (Finney) Heffington. She was deeply cared about and cared deeply for others. Lois was a homemaker caring for her family and companion of 31 years Michael Wilds of Dowagiac. She was a loving mother to Linda McNeal of Dowagiac, Diana (Walt) Frontczak of Dowagiac and Herb (Ramona) Doberstein of Dowagiac, a dear grandmother to Kristina Frontczak, Walter Frontczak and Nichole Massey, a loving sister to Bob (Charlene) Heffington of FL, Buddy (Jackie) Heffington of Hartford, Gene Heffington of Dowagiac, Donnie Heffington of Dowagiac, and Tommy Joe ( Mary ) Heffington of Missouri, sister in law to Stella Heffington of Bangor and Bobbie Heffington of Missouri and several nieces and nephews. Lois passed away at her home on Saturday March 27, 2010. She is preceded in death by a grandson Donald Roy Sater, brothers Junior, Leroy and Pee Wee Heffington, sisters Kathy Rogers and Joyce Heffington. Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. led by Pastor John Criswald of New Harvest Assembly of God. Lois will be laid to rest in South Wayne Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Borgess Hospice.
