Bud's Obituary
Bud's life began on November 7, 1946 in Marcellus, the son of Wayne E. and Betty (Eggleston) Maggert. He was married in April of 1982 to Martha Faye Fults in Dowagiac. Bud was the owner of Maggert Construction Company. He loved to work, but when he was not working, you could find him taking care of his yard or spending time with Faye going “antiquing.†He was an excellent woodworker and made the beds and dressers of his grandchildren. Bud loved to be with family and was happiest at the holidays when all the family could be together. His loving family includes his wife Faye of Decatur, children Stanley A. (Lori Leason) Maggert of Dowagiac, Marvin W. (Amanda) Maggert of Cassopolis, Jason (Christine) Grant of Dowagiac, Camille (Earl) Pillivant of Dowagiac and Ryan (Sarah) Maggert of Decatur, grandchildren Gaige Grant, Zachary Maggert, Alexis Maggert, Garrett Pillivant, Wyatt Maggert, Rudy Faye Maggert, and Mason Maggert, brothers Tim (Mary) Maggert of Dowagiac, and Doug (Cheryl) Maggert of Marcellus, a sister Diana Moyer of Three Rivers, and several nieces and nephews. Bud passed away on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry Maggert and a sister Wanda Borden. His family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Yazel-Clark Chapel. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church led by Pastor Stacey Wilder. Bud will be laid to rest in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Gift of Life- Michigan or Calvary Bible Church.
