Ana M. Garcia

Ana’s life began July 26, 1956 in Guadalajara, Mexico the daughter of Carlos and Silvina (Flores) Meza. She married Rodolfo Garcia on March 19, 1979 in Hartford. Ana was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. In her younger years she enjoyed knitting baby clothing and doily. Her greatest love in life was her family which includes her loving husband of thirty years Rodolfo, their children Rodolfo Garcia Jr. of Dowagiac, Carmen Garcia of Dowagiac, Juanita (Oscar) Lara of Lawrence, Angelita Garcia of Dowagiac, Jesse T. Garcia of Dowagiac, her mother Silvina Flores of Brownsville, TX, three grandchildren Jorge L., Arturo and Anthony Benitez, her sisters Ramona Urquieta of Bangor, Maria Consepaton Noyola of Dowagiac, Maria Elena Gasca of Decatur, Maria Ariela DeLaCruz of Brownsville, TX, Emma Marsall of Hartford, Diana Garcia of Hartford, Juan Carlos Meza of Dowagiac, and Martin Meza of Dowagiac. Ana passed away on September 1, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her father Carlos and her brother Jorge Meza. Her family will gather with friends on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at McLauchlin- Clark Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford led by Father Fabio Garzon. She will be laid to rest at Keeler Cemetery. Memorial donations in her name may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
