Ella's Obituary

Ella’s life began on July 22, 1928 in Chicago, the daughter of Walter W. and Marie (Pias) Jacobsen. She is a graduate of Austin High School in Chicago. Ella was united in marriage to Marvin G. Bogseth on June 11, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago. She was a member of the Sister Lakes Community Church. Ella was a crafter and loved to play the piano and sing. She was a great cook and baker. Ella liked to enter sweepstakes and enjoyed her flower gardens. Her greatest joy was her family which includes her husband of 59 years Marvin G. Bogseth of Dowagiac, her children Marvin W. (Patricia) Bogseth of Lisle, IL, Deborah (Mark) Vollmer of Bridgman, grandchildren Kurt (Kristi) Bogseth, Steven Bogseth and Stephanie (Jeremy) Sims and Erin Vollmer and one great grandson Brandon, sisters Merle (Roger) Kemps of Plainfield, IL, Alice Bogseth of Adams, WI, and Margie Campball of Enterprise, AL, brothers Walter ( Linda) Jacobsen of Colgate, WI, and Richard (Tracy) Jacobsen of Pell Lake, WI. Ella passed away on Tuesday March 24th at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by a sister Marie L. Jacobsen, and a brother Robert Jacobsen. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home and from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday at the Sister Lakes Community Church where her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday led by Pastor Doug Cuthbert. She will be laid to rest in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Sister Lakes Community Church, Sister Lakes Fire Department and Hands Up Ministry.
