Lee Hibler

Lee’s life began on June 26, 1952 in Niles, the son of Lee and Ida (Moore) Hibler.He attended Dowagiac Schools and worked in several area factories. Lee enjoyed watching old westerns on TV and being with his family.He was often seen sitting on his front porch in good weather and waving to passerby’s. Lee enjoyed going to play cards with his friends too. His loving family includes his special friend Bernadine, her eight children, 32 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren, sisters Beatrice Jackson and Barbara Shivers of Dowagiac, niece Mary Crawley of Dowagiac, nephews Robert Shivers, Jr. and Darryl Shivers, both of Dowagiac and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives.Lee passed away on March 18, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy Thompson, niece Dolores Halliburton and brother in law Robert “Shag” Shivers. His family will gather with friends on Friday from 11-1p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac.Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the family in care of Barbara Shivers.
