Mary's Obituary

Mary Ann Cobe, 80, of Benton Harbor passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Ross Tarantino officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Berrien County Cancer Services. Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Mary may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Mary was born on November 8, 1934 in Knoxville, TN to Bernard and Imogene (Sadler) Wilson. Mary married the love of her life, John Cobe, on December 2, 1950 in Benton Harbor. Mary’s main passion in life was for her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family reading and working in puzzle books. Some of her hobbies included sewing, quilting and gardening. Mary was also a member of The Moose Lodge. She entered her eternal rest with Christ Jesus.  She will always be remembered as the “Milk and Cookie Lady”.  She will be greatly missed by many. Mary is survived by her children; John (Deborah) Cobe, Jr., Robert (Cheryl) Cobe, James (Wanda) Cobe, Shelly Martin, Fred Cobe, Michael (Tina) Cobe and Richard Cobe; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie Wayne Petty, Timothy Petty, Eunice (Vernon) Froehlich, Darlene (David) Reese; and son-in-law Bob Terlep Mary was preceded by her parents; husband; children, Karen Terlep and Vanessa Cobe and brother, Michael Patty.
