Robert Dale Christy, 90, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Friday, April 5, 2019 at his home.
Committal Services with full military rites at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan, will be conducted 2:30 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2019. Robert was born August 25, 1928 in Apollo, Pennsylvania to Robert E. & Mary (George) Christy. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Robert was a service technician for Michigan Gas Utilities in Benton Harbor, retiring after more than thirty years of service.
Robert is survived by two sons-Mike (Cathy) Christy of Benton Harbor, Kelley Christy of Kalamazoo; his grandson Brandon Christy of Coloma; two great-grandsons-Cody Christy of Fairdale, KY, T.J. Christy of Louisville, KY; his brother Lyle (Maryanna) “Buzz” Christy of Clarksville, TN; his sister Mary (Mike) Carpenter of Spring Hill, FL; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson Travis Christy in 2012, his parents and three sisters.
