Dennis Peter Graf

Dennis P. Graf, 66, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Spectrum Lakeland Health in St. Joseph, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Dennis was born on March 21, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Stephanie (Korosa) Graf. For many years Dennis worked in the metal plating and finishing business. He retired from Imperial Plating in Chicago, Illinois. Dennis married his partner of 14 years, Brian P. Bjodstrup, in Niagara Falls, New York on July 10, 2018. Dennis was a member and past president of the Lake Michigan Region of the Lambda Car Club. He was a confident driver; you always knew you were alive when Dennis was behind the wheel. Although known for his bananas foster, Dennis mastered every meal he made. No one ever left his table hungry. His chocolate chip oatmeal cookies reached every home of friends and family where joys or sorrows were being shared. Dennis is survived by his loving husband, Brian P. Bjodstrup. He is also survived by siblings: Rose (Robert) Sukalec, Charles (Darlene) Graf, Jean (Raymond) Gerald, Laurine Graf and Lee (Sandra) Graf as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother and father and his sisters, Dorothy Graf and Charlene (Huston) Richardson. While Dennis and Brian did not have any children, Dennis loved and spoiled their three Devon Rex Cats: Wilson, Buster and Tigger, even buying an RV so the cats could join them on vacations. Dennis was a force of nature who brought people together. He loved polka music, Cadillacs and a Grey Goose “up” (with blue cheese olives). Mostly Dennis loved his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Wauwatosa Methodist Church, 1600 Underwood Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. The church will be open for visitation at 1:00. The service will begin at 2:00 PM. Dinner will be provided at the church following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wisconsin Humane Society, www.wihumane.org.
