Elizabeth Paulette McClellan, 69, of St. Joseph, formerly of Gallatin, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2020 at home. A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Friday, March 20, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 290 E. Winchester St., Gallatin, TN. Burial will follow in Crest Cemetery, Gallatin. Elizabeth was born on January 5, 1951, to Elvis and Sarah (Hill) Lyles in Gallatin, TN. She graduated from Gallatin High School in 1970. On August 28, 1970 she married Mose H. McClellan III in Gallatin. Elizabeth spent most of her professional career as a nurse. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Gallatin. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling. Elizabeth also liked baking and will be remembered as a fun, outgoing and caring person. Most of all, she cherished her family. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of forty nine years, Mose; daughters, Daphne McClellan and Angela (Eric) Bartholomei; grandchildren, Taneka McClellan, Joshua Dixon, Mya Dixon, Giana McClellan and Peyton McClellan; siblings, Marva Love Douglas, Tennie Mae Coakley, Ronald (Linda) Malone, Marva Malone, Twanka Malone, Dale (Tina) Malone, Crystal (Bobby) Malone-Watkins and devoted nieces and nephews, Jarrett Malone, Marvis (Amber) Malone, Victor Malone, Thaddeus Malone and Blaze Malone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis & Sarah Lyles; son, Moses McClellan IV and siblings, Elvis, Leroy and Joseph Lyles.
