Juanita's Obituary
Juanita M. Wallis, 86, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. A private family service will take place at a later date, with interment at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. Juanita was born on September 15, 1934, to Lloyd & Lydia (Johns) Brunke in Baroda, where she graduated from Baroda Schools. Juanita married the love of her life, William (Bill) Wallis, in St. Joseph Michigan on May 10, 1958. She worked as a Librarian for the Lakeshore School System for over 20 years before retiring. She had a passion for reading and took great joy in helping many students learn how to read. She also enjoyed crafting, baking, golfing and bowling with Bill, and collecting and selling antiques at area shows and malls.
Juanita is survived by her sons, Robb (Tina) Wallis of Charlestown, IN, and David (Jami) Wallis of Montgomery, IL; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Delores Stacey, Joanne Langland, Barbara Brunke, Lisa (Al) Lyons, Johanna (Frank) Kelly, Robert (Diane) Brunke, William Brunke, Arthur (Stella) Brunke, Howard (Renea) Brunke, Charles (Delores) Brunke, and Edwin (Linda) Brunke.
Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, in July of this year, her parents, Lloyd & Lydia, and sibling Jean Estes.
Juanita will be missed by all who knew or loved her.
