Stanislaus Michael Mrozek, Sr., 77, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Monday-January 4, 2021 in LaPorte, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.sommerfeldchapel.com Stan was born in New Buffalo, MI on November 28, 1943 to the late Peter and Mary (Oman) Mrozek. He is survived by his children – Stan Mrozek, Jr. of Yuma, AZ, Mark Mrozek of LaPorte, IN, Michael Mrozek of LaPorte, IN, Alex Mrozek of Michigan City, IN, Monica (Jacob) Tannehill of New Buffalo, MI, Marilyn Mrozek of Walkerton, IN, and Stephanie Mrozek of Ann Arbor, MI; five grandchildren – Cori, Michael, Madison, Hannah and Martin; and four great grandchildren – Raelynn, Tynlee, Xavier and Zander. Stan is preceded in death by his brother – Peter Mrozek. Stan worked for many years in the family business – Mrozek’s Well and Drilling Co., as well as driving truck cross country. He was an avid bowler, loved the casino, but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Stan was also very proud of his being a member of the New Buffalo Fire Department for app. 40 years. A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Sat. January 16, 2021, from 10am-2pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
