Susan Nyman

Susan V. Nyman, 92, of Glenn died Monday, March 12, at South Haven Health Systems.

She was born February 9, 1920 in Plainwell, Michigan to Frank and Alice (Walkley) Nichols. Susan graduated from South Haven High School in 1938. Susan married John R. Nyman on June 7, 1940 in Glenn, Michigan. She worked as a real estate salesman for Conklin Real Estate in Glenn. Susan also managed the Glenn telephone office, worked for the South Haven Title office and for Holly’s Restaurant. Susan was a member of the Glenn United Methodist Church. Susan was a gourmet cook, loved golf and playing duplicate bridge in South Haven.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – John R. Nyman who died in 1995 and a son – Stephen Nyman in 1982.

She is survived by a daughter – Sue Ann Nyman Tecklenburg of Glenn, Michigan and a son – David Nyman of Kalamazoo, Michigan. One cousin – Betty Logsdon of Holland, Michigan also survives.

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 17 at 2:30 P.M. at the Glenn United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Balgenorth officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Glenn United Methodist Church or to South Haven’s Hospice at Home.
