Joseph's Obituary
Joseph Olson, 82 of South Haven, died at South Haven Health Systems on Friday, March 9, 2012. He was born on July 10, 1929 to Joseph H. Olson and Irene Litterski-Lundy in Covert, Michigan. Joe worked for many years as a truck driver for Niff’s Beverage Co. of South Haven and Pepsi Cola of Grand Rapids. He was a member of the Teamster’s Union, Elk’s Club, Moose Lodge and American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his son – Joseph H. Olson Jr. in 1981 and his brother - Don Anderson in 2011.
Joe is survived by his wife – Lorraine Olson of South Haven, MI, His sons – Larry (Linda) Olson and Keith (Janice) Olson both of South Haven, MI. Grandchildren - Jim Olson of South Haven, MI, Ken Olson of Memphis, TN, Judd (Aynslinn) Olson of Des Plaines, IL, Jody Olson of Pittsburg, PA, Faith (Gus) Cullens of Dewitt, MI, Nicole (Steve Skodack) Olson of Grand Haven, MI, Chris Olson of South Haven, MI, Heather (Ryan) Johnson of South Haven, MI, Kristie Brewer of Chester, VA and Dustin (April) Brewer of Prince George, VA. Eight great grand children also survives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to South Haven Area Emergency Services (Fire Department) or American Heart Association.
