Jack's Obituary
Jack Caywood, 72, of South Haven died Thursday, June 9 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven.
He was born June 25, 1938 in Sturgis, Michigan to Harry E. and Pearl V. (States) Caywood. Jack served his country in the U. S. Marines. He married Diane Snooks on January 27, 1967. Jack worked as a lineman for the City of South Haven for 10 years. He also worked for Union Local 876 IBEW for 10 years. Jack was a member of St. Basil Catholic church. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed his dogs and old cars.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his son – Todd Caywood who died March 12, 2011. Two sisters – Margo Wygant and Virginia Gray. One brother-in-law – Marty Smith.
He is survived by his wife – Diane Caywood of South Haven, Michigan. Two daughters – Michelle Jarratt of Constantine, Michigan, and Sheryl Perry of Holland, Michigan. Five grandchildren – Linda (Brian) Johnson, Toni (Justin Larion) Caywood, Brandy (LJ) Clouse, Brittney Reeder, and Robby (Danielle Nyatt) Reeder. Three great grandchildren – Garrett Johnson, Jacob Clouse and Joe Joe Jenning. One brother – Ned (Katherine) Caywood and one sister – Harriet Smith both of Sturgis, Michigan. One brother-in-law – Victor Wygant of Sturgis, Michigan also survives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14 from 2-4 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Military Honors and with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community Patient Activity Fund.
