Dennis Forrest

Dennis Ray Forrest, 56, of Pullman died on May 22, 2011 at home. He was born July 30, 1954 in Douglas, Michigan to James and Effie (Rayner) Forrest. Dennis graduated from South Haven High School in 1972. He married Patricia Klingenberg on April 7, 1973 at the Casco United Methodist Church. Dennis worked for Johnson Control in Holland, Michigan. He recently worked as a school bus driver for the South Haven Public Schools. Dennis was a member of the First Assembly of God in South Haven. During the summer he enjoyed working on the farm. First, with “Pete” Harry and later for Laura and Rich Barden. He enjoyed bowling and loved shooting pool and won several tournaments.

He was preceded in by his father – James Forrest in 2002 and mother – Effie Forrest in 2006.

He is survived by his wife – Patricia Forrest of Pullman, Michigan. Two sons – Travis (Lori) Forrest of Ganges, Michigan and Michael (Lesley) Forrest of South Haven, Michigan. Eight grandchildren – Samantha, Ashley, Courtney, Brittney, Denise, Christopher, Cheyanne and Naomi. Three brothers – Pat (Patty) Pierson of Spring Lake, Michigan, John (Sandy) Forrest of Galesburg, Michigan and Ken (Cyndy) Forrest of South Haven, Michigan. Two sisters – Sharon (George) Worel of Athens, Alabama and Cathy Wilson (Herbert Entzminger) of South Haven, Michigan.

Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM on Wednesday, May 25 at the First Assembly of God church in South Haven, with funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating.
