Rolando's Obituary
Rolando Ruiz, 38, formerly of Weslaco, Texas and resided in South Haven died Friday, May 6 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born August 31, 1972 in Weslaco, Texas to Jose G. Ruiz and Maria L. (Rodriguez) Ruiz. Rolando worked as a cook for Pizza Hut for 3 years. He loved fishing and enjoyed playing pool, the lotto, and singing. Rolando always had a great attitude and loved being with his family. Rolando liked to eat out. He especially loved tacos.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents – Fernando and Paula Ruiz, Antonia R. Bazan and Roberto Rodriquez. One sister – Rosalinda Ruiz also precedes him.
He is survived by his son – Rolando (Kimberly) Ruiz Jr. of Donna, Texas. One granddaughter – Chloe Marie Ruiz. Parents – Jose G.Ruiz of South Haven and Maria L. Ruiz of Weslaco, Texas. Grandmother – Victoria H. Rodriguez of Weslaco, Texas. Three brothers – Rodolfo (Kim) Ruiz of Covert, Michigan, Roel (Michelle) Ruiz of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Raymundo Ruiz of South Haven, Michigan. One sister – Rebecca Ruiz of South Haven, Michigan. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11 from 11 – 1 at the Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at the church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Scott Hollebrands and Decan David Johnson officiating.
