Revella Lee's Obituary
Revella L. Armstrong, 60, of Kalamazoo died Sunday, March 27 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
She was born July 22, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Elmer Lee and Marie J. (Travis) Chandler. Revella graduated from Lucy Flowers High School in Chicago, Illinois. Revella married Melvin Armstrong. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at a hospital in Flint, Michigan. She also worked as a cook at the Radison Hotel in Kalamazoo.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Melvin Armstrong, brother – Clifford Chandler, 2 aunts – Carolyn Graham and Pearl Smith and uncle Joseph Tillman.
She is survived by her 3 sons – Demorro Chandler of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Lerenzo Chandler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dennis Hussey of Kalamazoo, Michigan. 3 daughters – Lashieka (Willie Hegler) Hussey, BeJeha Hussey and Akilah Armstrong all of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Six grandchildren. 3 brothers – Elmer (Shirlen) Chandler of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jeff (Vanessa) Chandler, Elliot Chandler both of Covert, Michigan and one sister – Ollietha Chandler of Covert, Michigan. One God daughter – Ticcara Tillman of Kalamazoo. A host of nieces and nephews also survives.
Wake will be from 1:30 – 2:30 on Saturday, April 2 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. Burial will take place at Covert Cemetery. Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family’s online guest book at www.FilbradtFFH.com.
