Mary Sue's Obituary
Mary Sue Anderson, 83, of Grand Junction died Tuesday, November 16 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born November 11, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Washington and Susie (White) Sweiding. Mary graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago. She married Russell E. Anderson in 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. Together Mary and Russell owned and operated the Anderson Blueberry Farm. Mary was a member of the First Congregational Church in Grand Junction where she held many positions. . She enjoyed painting, pastels and oils. Mary also loved her many dogs.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Russell Anderson who died in 1998. Two brothers – William and Frank Sweiding and one sister – Dorothy Sweiding.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Friday, November 19 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church in Grand Junction with Rev. Edith M. Winter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church of Grand Junction, Al-Van Humane Society or the South Haven Center for the Arts.
