John Morse

John “JD” Morse, 42, of Fennville died on July 24, 2010 at U of M Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. John was born on October 2, 1967 in Battle Creek, Michigan to David and LeAnn (Mull) Morse. John was raised in the South Haven Area, served in the Navy for 16 years, and then returned to the South Haven area. While in the Navy he served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm and in the conflict in Bosnia and Kosovo. John dearly loved his family and especially his step-daughter Kylie. He also had a good buddy – Floyd Thompson. John spent his leisure hours working on his “Mustangs” and his “Harley”. He also loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter who thoroughly enjoyed his hunting dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Morse and stepdaughters; Kayla and Kylie Clark of Fennville, Michigan. Heather and Travis Morse of Olney, Maryland and J.D. Kozlik of South Haven, Michigan. His parents; David and LeAnn Morse of Coloma, Michigan and one brother; Ed (Beth) Morse of South Haven, Michigan. His niece and nephew; Megan and Charlie Morse of South Haven, Michigan. His Grandmother; Ina Morse of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28 from 12 -2 PM at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev Robert Linstrom officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
