Kenneth Alan's Obituary
Kenneth Alan Self, 58, of Grand Junction died Monday, April 19 at home.
He was born March 31, 1952 in San Jose, California to Bert and Marian (Smith) Self. Ken served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Marcy Wojcik on December 2, 1977. Ken owned and operated North Lake Builders a construction company. Ken had his private pilots license. He was a member of the South Haven Loyal Order of the Moose. Ken enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, horseshoes and playing the harmonica.
He is preceded in death by his father – Bert Self.
He is survived by his wife – Marcy Self of Grand Junction, Michigan and his son – Bret Self of East Lansing, Michigan, as well as his mother – Marian Self of South Haven, Michigan. Also surviving are brothers – Robert Self of South Haven, Michigan and Jim (Mary) Self of Fennville, Michigan, and two sisters – Peggy Lockwood of South Haven, Michigan and Joyce Higgins of Campbell, California.
