Ruth's Obituary
Ruth Kowieski, 85, of South Haven died Friday, March 12 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born April 10, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Agnes (Schaeflein) Dentzman. Ruth married Ed Kowieski on September 25, 1948 in Bangor, Michigan.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by five brothers and sisters and one granddaughter – Annie.
She is survived by her husband – Ed Kowieski of South Haven, Michigan. Four children – Tom Kowieski of Sister Lakes, Michigan, Jaynie (Bill) Dunne of Elmhurst, Illinois, Julie (Jim) Todd of Columbus, Ohio and John (Kathy) Kowieski of Elmhurst, Illinois. 13 grandchildren- Jen, Carrie and Mike Kowieski; Claire, Bill Jr., and Molly Dunne; Jon, Joe and Will Todd; Andy, Brian, Matt and Meg Kowieski also survive.
Visitation will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Sunday, March 14 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 15 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
