Edythe's Obituary
Edythe Mable Ransom, 91, of South Haven died Sunday, September 13 at River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven.
She was born October 11, 1917 in South Haven, Michigan to Benjamin and Hazel (Norman) Parrish. Edythe married Clinton Boyde Ransom on January 31, 1937 in Plymouth, Indiana. Edythe loved to bird watch and enjoyed embroidering when she was able. She loved God, he was the number one thing in her life.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – C. Ransom who died in 1993 and one sister – Dorothy Clark
She is survived by two sons – Brent (Mavis) Ransom of St. Paul, MN and Dwight (Marsha) Ransom of South Haven, MI. Three daughters – Bonnie (David) Wilson of Goshen, IN., Janice (Robert) Brown of Kalamazoo, MI and Karen (Les) Dalrymple. 19 grandchildren,32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. One sister – Marjorie Radtke of South Haven also survive.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 on Wednesday, September 16 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to South Haven’s Hospice at Home.
